Your Eminence,

Despite the above rosy, cutesy comments, the archdiocese is in self-destruct mode. I see it daily. When I was in RCIA, we learned more about "social justice" than the eternal truths of Christ's One true Church, outside of which no one at all can be saved. My dear cardinal, I wish you the very best, but when special creation and Biblical inerrancy are denied in the above conversion program (according to Providentissimus Deud, they ought to be taught), I cannot help but feel many heresies are flourishing under your watch. I beg you use your authority to restore orthodoxy and sanity to the Archdiocese of Boston.

Cardinal Sean:
I truly believe you are a man of god. I believe God has sent you to serve and rebuild his church as God sent Francis to rebuild his church many years ago. I am a gay man. Why do you condemn us and make us suffer. It is not Christlike. When you face God, will you be able to say to the Lord; "Yes Lord, I took in the unloved, the rejected, those in pain, those persecuted, those who were gay. I loved and accepted them the way you accepted Mary of Magdeline, Thomas, and all other sinners. I did not turn them away"

Your Eminence,
Please encourage these enthusiastic young men to "return to their roots" by drinking deep from the liturgical fountain which refreshed all Western Catholics over the last thousand (+) years. Teach them the important benefits that accrue to all of us when they learn Latin and how to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass according to the traditional Rite used throughout the Western Catholic world before the ecumenical rite was used in the 1970's. It was indeed good enough for Padre Pio - it is more than good enough for them! Pious and reflective meditation upon the ordinary and propers of that ancient Mass can only help them to grow in faith and zeal for the glory of God! God bless you and all your new deacons!

Dear Cardinal Sean,
It is wonderful reading your activities for the week. Role models are very important to everyone, particularly the youths. I am not sure just how idealistic youths are. But if they have an idealistic concept of goodness, then role models should not let them down because once they are let down, they will find it hard to trust the things which they trusted once. It is one thing to look like a good person. It is another thing when a person who looks good starts behaving out of the realm of goodness.
God bless !

Its a shame that in this day and age a talk given at the “Church in the 21st Century program” in my former university has questions about “challenges posed” by the “Latin Mass”.

Maybe JP2′s words on its “wide and generous” allowance have not been followed, since he did not view it as a “challenge”. After all, there are no Hans Kung’s in traditional circles

“By the fifth century we come back to comparatively firm ground, after a radical change. At this time we have the fragment in Pseudo-Ambrose, “De sacramentis” (about 400. Cf. P.L., XVI, 443), and the letter of Pope Innocent I (401-17) to Decentius of Eugubium (P.L., XX, 553). In these documents we see that the Roman Liturgy is said in Latin and has already become in essence the rite we still use.”
