The PILOT refers to your intention to reestablish the practice of Tenebrae during Holy Week.
I have truly missed the service since leaving the seminary in 1953 and would love the opportunity to participate again.
(I'll even bring my own "Liber Usualis".)
I'm certain that we can find others to staff our own parish services without me.
Please count this as my vote for your idea!

Greetings;

This is off topic but I thought Cardinal Sean, and Bishop Alleui (excuse the mis spelling) might be interested in this story

http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/forgotten-magic-manual-contains-original-da-vinci-code/2007/04/10/1175971101054.html

I am a professional magician who performs character education assemblies at public and Catholic schools around the coutry. I met the Bishop when he first arrived in Boston and as I drove him home from the airport he told me of Don Bosco's love of magic and tricks. I have also met Cardinal Sean, my son served Mass with him and Fr Bill Francis at Holy Family parish a few years back. I was very interested to see that the very first text on the performance of magic as a theatrical discipline was written by a Franciscan.

Best wishes to both the Bishop and Cardinal, and to whoever reads this first.

Greetings and Happy Easter, Cardinal Sean!

Thank you for posting all the wonderful photos in such succession!

I used to be a fallen-away/rebellious prodigal Catholic, and this year, I began teaching RCIA and stood both as a teacher and a Sponsor at the Easter Vigil. It was nearly overwhelming, but what a grace...to go from rebellion to leading others to Jesus. The photos of the catechumans you posted nearly brought tears to my eyes. For a few years, now, since I've come back Home, I have almost wished I could be Baptized/Confirmed alll over again, and this year, God gave me the next best thing..a front row seat.

You get to see it and perform it every year...please keep all those who enter the Church perpetually in your prayers. They are such an inspiration!

GOD’S INEFFABLE LOVE

About 3 years ago I dropped into a black hole – four months of absolute terror. I wanted to end my life, but somehow [Holy Spirit], I reached out to a friend who took me to hospital. I had three visits [hospital] in four months – I actually thought I was in hell. I imagine I was going through some sort of metamorphosis [mental, physical & spiritual]. I had been seeing a therapist [1994] on a regular basis, up until this point in time. I actually thought I would be locked away – but the hospital staff was very supportive [I had no control over my process]. I was released from hospital 16th September 1994, but my fear, pain & shame had only subsided a little. I remember this particular morning waking up [home] & my process would start up again [fear, pain, & shame]. No one could help me, not even my therapist [I was terrified]. I asked Jesus Christ to have mercy on me & forgive me my sins. Slowly, all my fear has dissipated & I believe Jesus delivered me from my “psychological prison.” I am a practicing Catholic & the Holy Spirit is my friend & strength; every day since then has been a joy & blessing. I deserve to go to hell for the life I have led, but Jesus through His sacrifice on the cross, delivered me from my inequities. John 3: 8, John 15: 26, are verses I can relate to, organically. He’s a real person who is with me all the time. I have so much joy & peace in my life, today, after a childhood spent in orphanages [England & Australia]. God LOVES me so much. Fear, pain, & shame, are no longer my constant companions. I just wanted to share my experience with you [Luke 8: 16 – 17].

Peace Be With You
Micky
