I pray for you and your ministry so that you may continue to bring the light of Jesus to all of us but especially to those who have not experienced God's love.

Regarding the Renew program Cardinal Sean....one of the objections by orthodox critics of the program was that it presented views by known dissenters including Anthony DeMello, now deceased, who had been 'sanctioned' by Pope John Paul 11. Strangely enough I attended Corpus Christi church in Auburndale last year and the Jesuit priest gave a sermon based on....Anthony De Mello's writings. I got to see firsthand the shenanigans that pass for catholicism in some parts of Boston.

cardinal sean: “As a young priest in Washington, 80 percent of my parishioners were so called, “illegal aliens.” We all lived in the ardent hope for an amnesty. But the Greatest Amnesty is the Sacrifice of Christ who paid our debt, who stepped in front of the bullet to save us. “By His stripes we are healed.” We were under a sentence of death—but the amnesty of Calvary has spared us.”

wow, what a twisting of the sacrafice that Christ made. Unbelievable Cardinal Sean.

By the way, this is my fifth time asking you for some leadership on the issue of abortion: when are you going to speak out about the many “pro-choice” catholic politicians in the state of massachusetts and how they shouldn’t be receiving communion ?

This is my last post and I know now that I will not get an answer…….

Oh God, if my Catholic Bishop will not speak up for the unborn, who will!!!

Cardinal Sean,

I’ve been a follower of yours for quite some time and have learned a great deal about service to God’s children through you. I am, God willing, going to be ordained a deacon in the diocese of Springfield MA this December. I listened intently to your homily from the ordination and marveled at your ability to speak with clarity the mission of the Church’s ordained. Please know that I continue to work for His people and consider you to be a living example of Jesus in my life.

Peace

Cardinal Sean,

I was called and came to the invitation before Holy Week. Now I am Catholic. Circumstances allow me to attend mass once a week, Sundays, at 6 pm at St Mary's in Hanover. If you have not yet been, I hope you will not deprive yourself of the experience. Peace - LW

Cardinal Sean,
Thanks for doing so much to promote vocations. The visit of the heart of the Cure of Ars last year was a great blessing, I believe. In Kansas, a bishop held a diocese-wide monthlong novena and a pilgrimage for the intention of gaining new vocations. What do you think of that? (a story on it: ttp://kansascitycatholic.blogspot.com/2007/06/vocations-step-by-step.html)

Cardinal Sean,
Thank You for the wonderful reflection on the Eucharist. It is a perfect prelude for the Solemnity of the Corpus Christi.
I look forward to reading your blog each week.

Dear Cardinal Sean,
You have a golden heart and a golden tongue and I thank God for showing Himself in you. I listened and read your two sermons in this week's blog. I was very deeply moved by your words. What came to my mind was the story in the scriptures of two disciples on the road to Emmaus. After breaking bread with the stranger who revealed Himself as Jesus and then vanishing, the disciples said, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?"
Thank you for this website and including us in your Ministry.
God bless. Catherine

Happy Sunday, Cardinal Sean.
I just finished reading your blog for the week. I found it so enriching, especially your address on the Homily. I felt build up and challenged. The Holy Spirit uses your gift of teaching!
Peace and strength to you.

what a treat to read of a young man being ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of Boston in last week's Pilot.
Of course he is not of my generation, but i was so happy to hear that we had a guy from Framingham being ordained, Father Robert Blaney.
KUDOS TO YOU, FATHER BLANEY, HOPE YOU HAVE A HOLY AND HAPPY PRIESTHOOD.

Dear Cardinal Sean, Always love reading your blog each week. I don't usually ask for anything for myself, but I am about to have a carotid artery clean-out operation at M.G.H. in the very near future. Would appreciate your prayers for a successful operation. God Bless and Thank You, Shirley
