Cardinal Sean-greetings from Cleveland, Ohio. Fr. Bob Wentz sends greetings. Our days at St. Fidelis in Herman were certainly life forming in how we continue to view the way we can meet needs of others. I applaud your use of the blog in reaching our younger followers of Christ. Been trying to reach you to wish you luck in your journey as God's embassador. May I encourage you to continue your good work. Hope to hear from you or I will ask Fr. Bob to work on it for me.
                Pax vobiscum

Your Eminance, Thank you for keeping this blog. Praise God as well for the Knights of Columbus. One can see the real joy in all these faces. With God all things are possible. And without Him we can do nothing. We will continue to pray for you and Holy Mother Church.

Cardinal Sean...as always I pray for you and the Church of Boston however after reading the comments from Cardinal Bertone about the crisis in our church it is still evident that Rome does not understand the pain of those who suffered. I am so tired of hearing "just a few priests" were involved in the most horrific crime against children...it was 4000 in this country alone and far more than the total number of priests Bertone cited as 44,000 were forever scarred and damaged for life. As for the money claims I never received any compensation nor do I want any for no amount of money will give me back my childhood.
Tell Cardinal Bertone in Latin or Italian because he does not speak English he needs to pray for the Church that is still in crisis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Julia Russell

With all due respect, it seems to me that the Cardinal is spending way too much time travelling outside the boundaries of the archdiocese. Every week he is reporting from somewhere else! With all the problems we are facing as an archdiocese, with all the church closings and dwindling use of the sacraments, Cardinal Sean would do much better to stay put and focus on strengthening and spreading the Faith here in Boston. We wouldn't have to close parishes if Cardinal Sean focused on local evangelization and spiritual growth among HIS flock, not somebody else's! And who is paying for all these trips? Is this what the annual collection is for?

Dear Cardinal Seán,
It has been quite sometime since I last visited your blog. It is good reading all the news that had happenned over there in U.S. American Indians were known for their bravery once upon a time ago. Now we hardly hear anything about them and their achievements in modern society. Somehow immigrants have taken over and give the world the impression that they are the real owners of the land. It is time for American Indians to rise again and make a mark in modern day history.
