I hope that all seminarians are not being taught to fear that the “Enemy is waiting ‘like roaring lion’ for any opportunity to harm us.” (Comment #1 above) I have a much more optimistic view of life and would hope that seminarians would too!

What a wonderful and peacefilled place for a retreat. Thank you for the pictures I am looking into going on retreat their also. St. Edmund’s Retreat Center on Enders Island in Mystic, Conn. looks beautiful and peace centered.

I’m a seminarian at Madrid, Spain, and follow your blog with interest. I’m glad the retreat went so well, despite the “uniqueness” of the topic chosen by Mons. Seratelli. I pray for the Church of the United States, and I hope you do too for the Spanish one. With different kinds of problems, certainly the Enemy is waiting “like roaring lion” for any opportunity to hurt us. In the background, the reason of all the problems that hurt our Churches is the same: lack of faith. May God increase our faith, so that we give all our heart to Him.
