Dear Cardinal O'Malley,
We were very pleased to see you make your way through the crowd at Father Ed Boyle's wake.
We are blessed to have had the opportunity to be enlightened by such a caring and thoughtful educator. Thousands of Families are cradled in his work of social justice.
We humbly ask for your continued support to honor Father Ed Boyle's work at and through the Labor Guild.
Respectfully,

Your Eminence,

Thank you so much for speaking up regarding our Catholic belief when it comes to Abortion.

I think it's about time that our spiritual leader speaks up regarding elected officials that claim to be Catholics, but yet, vote against Pro-Life.

May the Grace & Power of God keep shining upon you.

"As Catholics we are not single-issue voters. A candidate’s position on a single issue is not sufficient to guarantee a voter’s support. Yet a candidate’s position on a single issue that involves an intrinsic evil, such as support for legal abortion or the promotion of racism, may legitimately lead a voter to disqualify a candidate from receiving support."

why are the Bishops putting abortion and racism in the same sentence here? This is a joke, I know many pro-abortion politicians, but don't know any "racist" politicians. Catholics are asking for clarity on who to vote for, but still we have confusion. We have 50,000,000 dead babies since 1973. This is bad, no leadership, the Bishops should be ashamed, I have to look elsewhere to practice my faith.

Your Eminence:

Thank you for sharing these reflections with us. I am thankful to all the bishops for their excellent work in guiding the Catholic faithful as we prepare for yet another important election cycle. I want to particularly thank you for your recent statement regarding the potential scandal we voters bring upon ourselves in voting for politicians and even a party whose very platform supports the unjust killing of the unborn, those truly "least among us." There is no doubt that there concerns that every Christian must have about aspects of either of our political parties, and our broken system certainly offers a poignant reflection on our broken, fallen world. But as Catholics we must understand that not all life issues are equal, and there is no more grave affront to the dignity of human life than abortion, and it is an evil which must be put to an end. Please, Your Eminence, continue to join your voice with the many strong leaders in our Church (including my own wonderful Archbishop, Justin Cardinal Rigali), as the voice crying out in the wilderness, preparing the way for the victory of our Lord over this culture of death. Thank you, and God bless you.

I watched a lot of the bishop's conference over my computer--one of the great ministries of EWTN--and was also impressed by your work on both the Iraq and "Faithful Citizenship" documents. Thanks for your efforts!
