Your Eminence, have you a blessed Christmas and a new Year according to the our Lord's will!
I'm Angelo and I've just read an interview given by Your Eminence to the Italian "Jesus" and published this month. "Ho sempre creduto che i Cappuccini esistessero per andare in missione" - these words are very important for me, an Italian novice. But in my little town in Sicily I've grown up with two great and simple capuchin frairs always "in missione". I feel urged by the same words to go on determined living every moment just like a mission to let God's love for us.
Thanks Your Eminence! I'll pray for Your flock of the faithful at Boston and for Your pastoral work.
God bless You and You bless us!
With devotion to You in Chirst, our Lord
PAX ET BONUM

Eminence I was saddened that the closed parishes where the faithful continue to gather and pray were denied a priest to lead them and conduct a Christmas Mass. Something is amiss when good order and discipline trump the gentle spirit of the Christ Child. Maybe next year. Jim Manning (Beverly)

Thank you for sharing about the new Sacred Heart and how much of it was built from churches that have closed. It meant so much to me to read this as almost all of the churches you mentioned I'm familiar with, especially St. Peter's and St. Joe's in Lowell, St. Joseph's in Gloucester. My sister made her first holy Communion in St. Peter's and it was my dad's parish growing up. I will share this with him, also.
May you have a Blessed and joyous Christmas. Thank you for sharing a bit of your work as Shepherd of Boston with all of us.
