Your Eminence,

I am impressed with all that you do and your travels take you all over the globe.

My disappointment only in the hearing of the news of yet another church closing. How sad is this? Churches should be opening, not closing.

Holy Trinity is a relic and a true testament to the faith of our forefathers. To close it, simply put, is a sin indeed. There has been no solid reason given for such a move. To say the least, the letter of 2 weeks ago bears no merit or reason whatsoever.

I am praying for some sort of miracle that this structure, a symbol of Holy Mother the Church, remains intact.

Prayfully yours,

Joseph F. Rizzo

I'm so glad to have stumbled across your blog. Is that Cardinal Arinze next to you? Is that the Columbian Bishop Jamarillo? Cardinal Arinze has become a bit of a superstar with his podcast. I love how Catholics are embracing the new media.

God bless

Hey Cardinal Sean,

I see that you have a new e-mail initiative. It makes me wonder: when are you going to get on Facebook? If you want to reach out to the youth....

Dear Your Eminence,

I just read your wonderful blog.

I am originally from the Diocese of Fall River. I was a candidate for the RCIA in 1995 and attended the Rite of Continuing Conversion that year at the St. Mary's Cathedral. I was received into the Church on April 15, 1995 at St. Patrick's Parish in Wareham, Massachusetts. I worked for and knew Fr. Ralph Tetrault who passed away on January 13, 2007.

I wanted to greet you and let you know that althought I now live and work as a music director and organist in a Parish in the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis, I remember and admire you greatly. I pray for you often as I know you have a difficult task in the Archdiocese of Boston.

God bless your continued ministry and thanks so much for all the good you do for the Church.

Sincerely,
Philip

Your Eminence, Cardinal Sean,
Just want to thank you for taking the time to blog all the things you do in your Diocese - all the special conferences, trips, etc. I enjoy reading them and learning so much from them. God bless you for taking the time to do this besides all your other duties in your ministry.l

Many thanks for your presence and for ordaining our brothers last Saturday. I went to the first Mass of one of the new priests the next day, at St. Francis of Assisi in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. It was a joy. Tomorrow I will attend a Mass of one of the other new priests. May the Lord give you peace!
