Hello Cardinal Sean,

My name is Pauline and I performed for His Holiness as he officially joined WYD at Barangaroo Point on the Thursday. We did the Traditional Aboriginal 'Welcome to Country' performance as he stepped out of the Pope-mobile. I was wondering if you had any photos of our performance with His Holiness as our photographer was not allowed to the stage area? I have been reading your posts on the events and what a great week it was. I was proud to be involved in the week and it was wonderful to hold it in our country.

Cheers from Down Under

Awe inspiring to say the least. My niece was there as well and on the official website of WYD, she is pictured among the pilgrims. Her name is Regina, named after the Queen of Heaven & Earth. She wrote how special and blessed she was to have witnessed this once in a lifetime event. Her uncle is a priest there and now serving the diocese of Christ Church, New Zealand at the cathedral.

A safe trip home and looking forward to hearing more.

Cardinal Seán, this all sounds absolutely wonderful. A friend of mine gave a performance at WYD this year, a presentation about Mother Theresa, she was quite excited about it. I wish I had had the opportunity to go. Being a youth Catholic myself, I find it incredible the kind of passion and enthusiasm that can arise from such a wonderful event. Blessings!

Cardinal Sean,
I have seen you many times on EWTN these past four days. Thank you for your blog and your comments on the events. I am a senior citizen who is tremendously impressed with you and our youth participation in this and past world youth events. I have been moved to tears many times with this great outpouring of faith and love at WYD. I hope and pray we will be blessed with many vocations now and in the future.

It's so exciting to see young people responding to their faith and to the presence of the Holy Father with such enthusiasm. May this celebration bear much fruit for the Church.

I enjoyed the part about Sean O'Malley! His haircut was amazing.

Peace,
Ruth Ann
