..when will churches give us kneelers for communion. Without them.. we have no "choice" to kneel or stand while receiving the blessed sacrament. What will it take for Catholic churches to offer kneelers to those of us who wish to kneel while receiving our Lord?

Dear Cardinal Sean,
I don't know who else to ask but I am hoping you would know. I live In Wyoming where we are without a bishop and have been for awhile. I know of several good priests in Montana, and North Dakota who would make excellent bishops. Is there a committee a person that I could make a recommendation to? I know it is the pope who makes the final choice, but I know he needs some input to make his decision. I know you have a tough enough job, but from what I see you are doing pretty darn good, I wish we had a few more shepherds such as yourself. God Bless and thank you for your service to God and humanity.

Dear Cardinbal Sean,

A busy week indeed. I was one of those whom you met downstairs at the cathedral on the feast of the titular feast, Solemnity of the Holy Cross. And yes, one of those displaced by the closing of the beautiful Holy Trinity.

There is indeed a void to be filled and with the wonderful works of Fr. O'Leary, the pastor of HC, the transistion proceeds. However, it is not Holy Trinity and instead of replacing Holy Trinity it should be including Holy Trinity. I pray you look into this and reflect again.

You are in my prayers and I thank you for your time this past Sunday.

Dear Cardinal Sean,

As you probably know, today (September 17, 2008) marks the 25th Anniversary of the death of His Eminence, Humberto Cardinal Medeiros. I was extremely privileged to have known Cardinal Medeiros for about the last three years of his life. I was only a teenager at the time, and the Cardinal always took time to write to me, as well as to have me visit with him. He was indeed a very pious man, and a great friend. I will always treasure my memories of him.

Please remember Cardinal Medeiros in your prayers.

Sincerely,

Robert Duggan

Dear Cardinal Sean,
Each year we offer the students in our faith formation program an opportunity to have their catechesis "on the road." Fr. Ron Gariboldi joins us and leads the students in our lessons. Our first one is on "Church History" and we come to Boston to our Cathedral. After reading your blog and seeing the information gathered at the BPL I am wondering where will all of this information go after the exhibit closes? We are hoping to return to our lesson at the Cathedral on Saturday, October 25th, Fr. Gariboldi will be with us again and we will celebrate Mass before we leave, will any of that information be in the Cathedral?
Respectfully in service to our church,
Mrs. Dawn Alves

Cardinal Sean, I was saddened to see you equate abortion and murder to racism. Abortion is a great intrinsic evil as is murder and they both actually kill a human being. Racism, although very bad, does not kill a person. Please don’t lump these together to confuse the ignorant and trusting in your flock of the Catholic Church. It’s like saying that thinking a child is not as good as you are is the same as killing that same child. Teach the Truth and be very clear about it. Please don’t mislead…we have enough people in powerful positions who confuse and mislead. Also, I have heard that you do not support the 40 Days For Life campaign. Could this be true? I pray and hope that it is not true. Please stand firmly and boldly against the choice to kill. We your people need you to lead with Truth. God bless you and give you courage. I would greatly appreciate a response, especially to calm the many Catholic friends of mine who worry about your true commitment to the unborn children who are the only human beings who do not have the legal right to their own lives. If you do not boldly defend them, who will? Respectfully yours, Theresa Gorey
