It was good to see you acknowledging the 50th anniversary of these two priests. I’d also like to wish Fr. Larry (Laurier) Martineau a happy 50th anniversary of his ordination this week in February. He was our faithfilled priest here at St. Mary’s in Marlborough for several years… and sorely missed.

I think it is good that The Holy Father is going live on Youtube with his news and videos from the Vatican. Its a great way to reach out to young Catholics by using the internet to communicate with them. The internet is not only a great way to share new but to also spread God’s message. I think that using the internet is a fantastic idea to spread the word.

I am glad to hear the Pope Benedict XVI has gotten a YouTube account. In our religion class at St. Paul School in Hingham, Massachusetts, we learned about how our media should promote truth, freedom, and justice, and by publishing videos onto Youtube, as well as keeping up-to-date with technology, we can spread the Catholic message.

I had the honor of being at the ordination of the deacons last weekend. One of the Capuchins in Boston, Brother Tim Aller, is a classmate of some of the newly ordained deacons and he brought me along with him while I was staying at San Lorenzo Friary for that weekend. It was indeed wonderful and it was my first time at the cathedral.

I was so sad when I saw that Chicago’s Holy Name Cathedral was damaged in the fire, but thanks be to God that no one was harmed. Also, I was very surprised to see that The Holy Father has a Youtube page! I will be sure to check it out sometime.
