Your Eminence, You are a wonderful leader. May I offer you this very timely suggestion: The Swine Flu is contagious by hand. With my deepest and humble request -- can you immediately direct your parish pastors to announce at this weekend Masses for the parishioners to wave to each other in lieu of showing a sign of the peace with a handshake. Of course this will be a temporary situation, if you deem it necessary, however many of us devout Catholics believe waving is the safest way to express peace to parishioners. May God bless you and always watch over you and continue to give you the strength needed to guide your flock. Of course our prayers for you are always said. Sincerely and loving in God, Ben Consoli (Email Address is benconsoli@yahoo.com)

The Men's Conference is great. Can you tell me what the actual attendance was, so that I have can compare it with prior years? The one pic you show doesn't indicate that thousands were there. Thank you!

AWESOME!
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, well thanks to the talent of George Martell who captured beautifully all your activities during Holy Week, we who are far away are uplifted by such an excellent documentation of those events.
GRACIAS PADRE por todo lo que hace por los feligreses de Boston.
Que Dios le bendiga siempre.
Paz y bien!

In thanksgiving for the work Cardinal Sean and Fr. Hennessey are accomplishing in the name of Christ to bring about the revival of our Catholic faith in Boston!

Franciscan Spirit Unleashed at Boston College
> Mass Men Meet and Laicize R Faith <

by David E. Dowd
Westbrook, Ct.

Cripple ripples cross barren empty souls.
Increasing, decreasing signs, once did console.
Babies ripped from wombs, once did control.
Nuturing networks no longer on patrol.

Instruments communicate or politicate away.
Voices plead for faith, fade with each new day.
Disturbing feuds, obscuring hope, clog underway.
The Jesuits once fought for us, for whom we pray.

The quiet monk sold a plot and brought surprise.
His servant way brought hope where raunch did rise.
Against the current, beat blessed heart once wise.
Now, faculties, refreshed, don't compromise.
Two thousand men in silent prayer revive.
His blood in their veins is now alive.

Cardinal Sean, I knew next to nothing of Archbishop Fulton Sheen until I read your blog, and saw the u-tube video you posted. How awesome it must have been to have heard him preach. The Archbishop's talk on the spiritual world contrasting the materialistic world is still so relevant today, though this television broadcast must have been made before I was born, in 1959.

Very refreshing! It was great to be at the Men's conference, and the closing Mass was a beautiful end to such a powerful day.

Peace,

-Gary Krauch

Thanks for the Triduum photos...it looks like it was a fine prayer. It was good to see you when you were lined up with the other Eminences as we passed by in procession to Archbishop Dolan's installation!

Wonderful blog! Very uplifting!

Loved the slide show of Holy Week...but I found myself wishing I could have heard your homilies, your Eminence. Have you ever given some thought to having them taped and adding them to your blog? It would be wonderful to hear them in their entirety instead of just the sound bites that are quoted in various papers.

Thank you, God bless you and Happy Easter!
