Dear Archbishop,
Thank you so much for arranging the withdrawal of Caritas Christi from the Celticare partnership that would have so seriously damaged the integrity of Catholic healthcare.

Please do all you can to share with all US Catholic healthcare institutions the experience gained in this effort. It is so important to keep Catholics Catholic!!!

God bless you!

Cardinal Sean,

I would just like to share my appreciation for your participation in the first Catholic Association of Latino Leaders retreat in San Antonio. I am new to the group and had traveled from Milwaukee to meet everyone for the first time. I could not have been more thrilled with the result and the opportunity to meet you, the Archbishop and be lucky enough to hear your meditations.

Thank you SO MUCH and I hope to see you in D.C. for our next event. If not, when my wife and I come to Boston, I will make sure to take you to your favorite spot for dinner.

Dear Cardinal Seán, your blog is always so interesting - and the images are great. The last image on this post, of the dove tabernacle, reminds me of the "dove tabernacle" in the retreat house chapel of St. Joseph's Abbey in Spencer, Mass. This is the first place where I had seen it. It is a perfect abode for Our Lord.

God bless you..

Querido Padre Sean, Happy birthday! We love you very much and pray for you always. We celebrate your life as a gift of God to the Church and we thank Him for making His presence very real in your life making you a holy Priest for us, caring for all of God’s people with the same love and dedication of the Good Shepherd. Wherever the Holy Spirit has sent you over the years He has make you to be a blessing for His people. Many of us might not agree with you sometime but we all see in you a holy Priest totally dedicated to our Lord and we thank Him for sharing you with all of us around the world thru your Blog and BCTV. A nun from Cardinal Cushing School in Bolivia gave us some prayers in 1974 that are in tone with the recent celebrations of Christ Heart and of our Blessed Mother’s and coincide with the recent visit of the relic of Saint John Vianney Heart in Rome with Pope Benedict XVI marvellous declaration of the Year of the Priest:

Grant me, O Lord, a simple heart to seek God’s Will alone. Grant me, O Lord, a brave, strong heart to do His Will when known. Grant me, O Lord, a hopeful heart however dark life’s sky. A patient, prayerful, silent heart to wait till clouds roll by. Grant me, O Lord a kind, true, tender heart to share another’s woes, a heart to see in every life, above the thorns, the rose. A heart of mercy like Thine own. Meek Heart of Love Divine, a lowly, self-denying heart. A grateful heart, all Thine.

The other:

O Sacred Heart! Filled with infinite love broken by my ingratitude and pierced by my sins, yet loving me still, accept the consecration that I make to Thee of al that I am and all that I have. Take every faculty of my soul and of my body. Only draw me day by day nearer and nearer to Thee, O Sacred Heart, and there, as I can bear the lesson, teach me Thy blessed ways.

Dear Cardinal Sean O'Malley,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You are truly an apostle of Jesus Christ for standing against the great evil of abortion and keeping the hands of the Church clean from the blood of the unborn through Catholic healthcare agencies! The devil has disguised himself as a wolf among lambs and you stood firmly and have saved many souls through this courageous act. We must stand together as a Body against the evil of this day and the people are looking to our apostles on earth to be our guide and our example. Many blessings!!
