Cardinal Sean--Sheila & I extend our congratulations to you on the 25th Anniversary of your Episcopal Ordination. You sure were a very young Bishop, which now also helps to make you a relatively young Cardinal.

I also want to thank you for your wonderful explanation of the Portiuncula both in Assisi and Hanover. The Feitelbergs have always had a special feeling for the chapel in Hanover since my brother John David lived at St. Coletta's for some 20 years where he had the opportunity to serve Mass for Cardinal Cuushing on several occassions. What he appreciated the most was the $5 which the Cardinal gave him for each Mass.

Your blog continues to be a true resource about the life of the Church of Boston and beyond.

Loved the explanation for Indulgences. I'll use it myself, I'm sure many times--of course attributing the source as my Cardinal Archbishop.
