"I had the opportunity to speak briefly with President Obama [at Ted Kennedy's funeral]...to share with him that the bishops of the Catholic Church...will not support a plan that will include a provision for abortion... The President was gracious in the short time we spoke, he listened intently to what I was saying."

Your Eminence,

Given the Harry Reid abortion friendly version of the universal health care legislation that is now before the Senate, I think that it is time for you to publicly, forcefully remind the President of your conversation. To do so would at least perhaps alleviate some of the scandal that was taken by many concerned Catholics over Mr. Kennedy's grandiose funeral Mass.

Dear Cardinal Sean:

Thank you for gracing our city with your presence this past week. I deeply regret I was unable to welcome you in person.

As a Catholic, I also thank you for your well written and inspiring words about Senator Kennedy's funeral. I am proud as a Catholic to have you as our leader in this area.

I spoke with Lisa Alberghini today and we both look forward to seeing you again here in our great city when we have the ribbon cutting for the project on Granite Street.

Dear Cardinal Sean, once again you have astounded me with your very interesting blog. The church you served at, St.James, was beautiful. The altar servers that set aside time each week to serve God and help other enjoy the Mass, should be extreamly proud of themselves. They are doing a great thing! They must have felt very special, being aknowledged for their good works by the Cardinal! Another group of people that should be very proud of themselves are the people who won the Cushing Awards. We should all be greatful for having people like that in our world today. They are truly following the path of Jesus.Thank you once again for your great blogs!

Dear Cardinal Sean,
Congratulations to St. James Parish! 150 years is a long time. The church is also so beautiful! The architecture behind the altar is so detailed with the crosses and such. The statues and all of the other little things make it so amazing. As you say, it is just stunning. Even though I can't see the stained-glass windows very well, from afar thay look like works of art. Thanks you for your wonderful post this week, I can't wait until next week's!

Hello again Cardinal Sean,

One of the things I especially enjoyed in this blog was the part about B.C. High. I applied there for seventh grade but deferred going till High school, it was nice to hear that I chose such a generous school as it.

Dear Cardinal Seán,

It's great news that the House of Representatives has passed the bill! This is a step in the right direction to end abortion. Please continue to keep us updated on the actions of the Senate on more bills that will affect the Catholic Church.

It's also great to hear that St. James Parish is celebrating its 150th anniversary! It certainly sounds like the Mass went well!

And I notice that you visited Boston College High School again. Some people I know go to school there, so it's interesting that you visited. I'd say the banquet went wonderfully, and was a great occasion!

Thank you for another blog! God bless!

Cardinal Sean,
Another week full of holiness and happiness has passed you by. That church, St. James, is so beautiful and it even remindes me of a church my grandparents go to in up-state New York. The church, St. Patricks, has castle-like artwork on the alter very similar to St. James'. I liked your speech you gave at BC, it really makes me think about the way sometimes I attend Mass and recieve the Eucharist. I should leave behind the anger, sadness, stress, or any other thoughts that are not about God the moment I step into church. Well, I can not wait for next week's blog!!!!
God Bless

Love the pictures of the Keely churches you have on your blog. What treasures and architectural masterpieces his churches and cathedrals are! Thank goodness some are being restored. How about leading a pilgrimage to visit all the Keely churches in the U.S.? Thanks for sharing your talk--its right up there with the great one you gave for Our Lady's Assumption in August. Thanks for all you do. After reading what you do all week, I have to go lie down.--God Bless, JMac
