The new Arizona law is just barely human and cetainly not Catholic - I would rejoice as you and the other bishops stood against

Additionally, you staff responded to parents in Holden that we don;t exclude children of homosexual parents. Thank you. There are many issues in the lives of humans that are less than holy - less than perfect. It would be too sad to deny a child a chance to grow in Christ because we do not approve of parent choices. There are many parent choices that would leave the Holy Spirit in full collapse. Emrace is more healing than ejection. Thank you and the courage of your staff this day.

Dear Cardinal Sean,

Our hearts are broken hearing the news about the eight year old child who has been rejected from St. Paul's in Hingham. We support this boy being admitted.

Thank you.

Dear Cardinal Sean,

I love reading your blog every week, it is full of great information on the nearest churches and schools. That dinner looked like it was alot of fun, I bet the man who sung the star spangled banner did a great job! St. Jeromes has smart boards? Cool! Our school recently had a smart board installed in the science room, it really helps instead of a projector. Until next week.

Dear Your Eminence Cardinal,

It was awesome to hear that Fr. Groeschel was in the Archdiocese of Boston at the Eucharistic Congress. He is a great priest. He has a show on EWTN. I read in the Pilot that he spoke out against the practice of putting the Tabernacle off to the side.

I wonder, are you going to request that every parish in our archdiocese put the tabernacle in the center like it should be? I know Pope Benedict requested this in his letter "Sacramentum Caritatis" and I also know a number of bishops have recently ordered that every parish in their dioceses put the tabernacle to the center.

I always feel bad when I enter a church and see that the most precious treasure is thrown off to the side.

Re: Arizona's new law, the above statement "the new law allows police to stop anyone they suspect of being undocumented and to demand they show proof of citizenship" is false. Police may only ask for documentation if they have stopped a person suspected of committing a crime. I think that we in the northeast cannot comprehend the impact of illegal immigrants in many soutwestern states. Along with hard-working people seeking a better life come many others with ill intent, bringing with gang violence, assaults, drugs, kidnappings and murder. Crime rates have skyrocketed. Hospital emergency rooms and public schools are overrun with illegal immigrants who in fact don't pay taxes to support that, as they typically work under the table. It's untenable socially and economically, and the federal government has abdicated its responsibility here.

I don't blame immigrants from coming here to seek a better life and escape the poverty of their homeland. I'd do the same thing if I had a family to feed. But we have a right to protect our nation's borders. "Render unto Caesar that which is Caeser's" would seem to include respecting sovereign boundaries. If this law - which is a state version of an existing federal law - discourages illegal immigrants from coming here and encourages them to leave the US, then it's going to have a good effect.
