Thanksgiving for the return of the relic, and continued prayers for Earl Frost!!
Truly wonderful news.

but to William's negativity on the Altar , you MIGHT want to look at this photo of that Altar of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, where the Prayer Service took place.

eminently satisfied with the Bread we have. Comes in many flavors all at once.

Praise God that the relic of the True Cross has been returned. God is good. You have made this exiled New Englander very happy. It appears that, despite stories to the contrary, the Holy Catholic Faith still survives in my natal place.

You are in my prayers.

Yours in Christ and His ever-Virgin Mother,
Gina Nakagawa

its wonderful to see a cardinal in franciscan robes, we have a friary in athlone ireland, where i was born and reared. The friars were always well liked and respected in the area. Fr. John used to keep a row boat at the friars landing, and he could often be seen on the lake fishing. What is needed more in the church are missions, where holy priests would come to the parish once a year, and put the fear of God into everyone The friars were very integrated and well loved. Keep up the good work your Eminance. i love your photographs and keep on clicking.

Great website! Fine write-ups and beautiful photos too. Please allow a small bit of negativity: I am saddened each and every time I see a picture of a beautiful Catholic church featuring a folks-facing altar table rather than a handsomely embellished high altar. Akin to the difference between a loaf of fluffy white bread and a loaf of dense twelve-grain! "Feed my sheep!"

Deo Gratias! The return of the Relic of the True Cross. Had the pleasure of being at the prayer service with my wife and mother. So edifying!!

Just my thoughts on the comments regarding the mosque being constructed so close to Ground Zero. Yes, Cardinal Sean, religious freedom is so important and we are a country that recognizes this as part of our constitutional rights. However, it is the "In-your-face" arrogance and "We'll show you" attitude that is so sickening. The radical extremist Islamic terrorists that forever changed our lives, fostered their evil in buildings such as these. Just recently, a mosque was closed in Germany where these hijackers gathered and planned to carry out the unthinkable. Sure, worship as they may but not within the shadows of hallow ground. It's an insult to all creeds.

Thank you for the video of the Play of Elche. I love tradition and to see this still exist for centuries is awesome.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Fr. Luigi. This past Monday night, I had taken him as well as friends from Rome, on a night on the town that was donated by local friends from Marshfield. I was able to brush up on my Italian and at the end of the night, received a blessing from Padre.

Again, Deo Gratias!
