As Bishop Callistus visits Boston from Kabale, Uganda, I was visiting his Diocese representing the Pontifical Mission Societies (including the Propagation of the Faith) in Boston. We have a wonderful partnership with the Diocese of Kabale - our office sends Mass stipends from offerings made by the faithful of Boston to the Bishop to share among his priests; we have also sent donated sacred vessels and priest's vestments to him that have been donated by parishes and individuals in the Archdiocese of Boston. It has been my priveledge to visit his schools and parishes, and especially meet children who are members of the Holy Childhood Association, praying and sacrificing from their poverty so that all children in the world may come to know the Good News of Jesus Christ. May we in Boston always remember that all people need our prayers and sacrifices in order that they may build up the body of Christ to the ends of the earth!
